10 of our favourite draped parties

Draping is everywhere at the moment.  All you have to do is open Instagram and you’ll see stunning draping backdrops, entrance ways and weddings. And we completely get it! Draping can absolutely transform a space, beyond recognition and although it may only be in 2026 that the rest of the world is discovering the magic of draping, it’s nothing new to us.  We’re old hands when it comes to draped parties, and over the years we’ve transformed Tudor halls into 1980’s clubs and modern orangeries into 1920’s speakeasys.

So we’ve collated a list of 10 of our favourite draped projects, from unique DJ backdrops, to elegant entranceways. We’ve included some spectacular total transformations as well as smaller touches that make a space totally magical, get in touch today to bring your party draping dreams to life!

1. This funky and razor sharp draping made a totally unique DJ backdrop for this nightclub party. The draping mimicked beams of light, which combined with lasers and dynamic lighting, created a high-energy nightclub atmosphere unlike anything else.
2. A vibrant, fan-out draped ceiling transformed a simple stretch tent into an immersive party space. With the bar at the centre as a natural focal point, the colours and textures created a stunning warmth and bought all the carnival flair to this otherwise plain stretch tent.
3. For adding a touch of elegance to the nightclub styled party, voiles and crushed velvets in an classy colour palette were used to frame the dance floor and stage. Creating a gorgeous area to let lose to the fabulous rocking party band.
4. This truly unique and very natural styled draping created an enchanting entrance way through the trees of this woodland cabaret party. The elegant and delicate swoops and swags of voile material look effortless, but a lot of planning from our drapers went into making it look that easy!
5. Now this is one of our favourite transformations, check out the case study here to see what this room looked like before. But it’s safe to say that nobody expected us to be able to create this cosy, intimate and sultry speak easy from the white and glass stark orangery that provided the bones to the room.
6. This light, flowing draping not only created a wonderful dance space but helped with a cohesive styling that tied together the two distinctly different ends of the tent, the clear roofed airy bar, and the moodier darker dance area.
7. The hero draping feature of this party was the cone shaped draped “booth” that created a tucked away area of the party that was still totally part of the vibe!
8. This was classically beautiful styling that although doesn’t knock your socks off from this one photo, is a real blow away when you know that all of this was sneakily hidden behind a beautiful rustic stretch tent in the middle of a field!
9. This sharp and perfectly executed draping created the most incredibly space that perfectly complimented the client’s scandi chic home.
10. For a more minimal look, this gorgeous wedding showcased how sometimes less is more. With cleverly draped truss, and a sneaky double drape layer in the ceiling to hide the metalwork whilst still keeping the space looking light and airy. Small touches like this made this wedding styling truly perfect.

Draping can be used in so many creative ways, to create so many different styles. Whether that’s floaty drapes of voile to add lightness into a space, or making a marquee feel even more solid with heavy materials and tight pleats to create structure. There’s draping to suit any occasion and we truly think it can make or break a party.
