Weddings can be heaped in tradition and are often formulaic. It’s the extra touches, planning and surprises that can differentiate a memorable wedding from a wedding day that is (dare we say it) slightly ‘off the shelf’. A wedding day should reflect the couple’s personality and individuality. Both of which can be featured with some subtle planning and creative expertise.
Colourful, vibrant and bespoke weddings
When we meet our clients face to face, we get a real sense of what our client’s vision is. We have worked with wondrously extravagant ideas and love the creative challenges some of our clients come to us with. For one particular wedding, our couple were looking to add a real vibrancy and uniqueness to their special day. Our bride had a fabulous flair with colour and both were hugely creative.
To reflect the couple’s personalities, we produced a lavish and colourful wedding at the great RSA venue . The dining room for the wedding breakfast was vibrantly styled with unique floral arrangements and subtle colourful draping.
As the couple had met and lived in London, there were some wonderful additions to the day with a nod to their London roots. And for the evening, guests moved to the undercroft of the venue for the wedding party where they spent the evening dancing to a top Jazz band. It’s your wedding, do what you love!
Sharing a passion or hobby and then carefully addressing the styling of the day accordingly is a great way of ensuring a wedding day is unique. We produced a wedding for a couple who really loved the outdoors and wanted their wedding day to reflect this.
The Mirage team sourced a venue that allowed our stylists to create the light, airy and green space they were looking for. With views overlooking the River Thames, we created a botanical and airy space with floristry displays that helped ‘bring the outside in’. Stylish and sophisticated, this London loving couple could celebrate their wedding day in an environment that really reflected their personalities. We certainly have worked on some extravagant ideas for weddings. For this beautiful bride, the love of a funfair led us to create a wonderful fairground reception.
A wedding party with the WOW factor
Bringing the WOW factor to your wedding really makes a difference. Having something a bit ‘extra’ is what makes the day truly fabulous and ensure that all the effort (and expense) was worthwhile. Clear span marquees can be transformed into top class venues.
For this wedding couple we created a hidden nightclub which was revealed to the guests after the wedding breakfast had finished. The styling and ambience of the space created an awesome wedding party for the couple and their guests.
With soft taupe draping throughout and hanging floral displays, this marquee had an elegant, stylish and sophisticated feel. To continue the theme into the evening, the wedding party nightclub was styled in black and taupe draping, with a starlight ceiling and dance floor. The large, circular mirrored bar created a stunning feature as guests entered.
