Party Planning How To: Gin Bars

Gin bars are cool and a huge hit with everyone, but how can you replicate a top London gin bar at your next event, birthday or wedding party?

Gin Bars Garnishes

The emergence of new-style gins and premium mixers ushered in the rise in popularity of gin bars across major cities. City gin bars deliver not just a drink but an experience direct from the new wave distilleries via professional mixologists.

We’re now seeing an increase in the number of people wanting to have a bespoke gin bar at their own private luxury parties. More and more clients are asking how they can replicate the top London gin bars and they all want a very different, bespoke look and feel to their bar. The key to success is to remember it’s all about enriching the guest experience.

Engaging a professional, highly skilled bar tender is our top tip. Knowledge is power and your head bar tender should be able to explain the detail behind each gin, the history of the distillery and the individual botanicals and flavour. They should also be able to recommend and mix innovative and unusual gin cocktails along with the classics.

It is also best to have a menu available for guest to peruse at your gin bar, describing the gins and suggested mixer and garnish. Take a look at the example gin bar menu below.

Finally, consider the design of your bar and select your glassware to match your event theme or styling. Engaging with an experienced party planner who’s skilled in event design and luxury party production will ensure you have a flawless, world-class and unforgettable event.
