Top 10 party entrances

To wow your guests from the second they arrive, we love an entrance with oomph! Whether that’s by using lighting, material draping or perhaps we enhance an already existing entrance way. Here are 10 of our favourites we’ve put together over the last few years.

1: Festival flags entrance for a Surrey Hills wedding

Photo shows brightly coloured festival flags in a graduated tone, red through to yellow, in a beautiful open field at sunset. — We love festival flags here at Mirage and this was an incredible way to use over 50 of them all the way up a long field to welcome guests to the dining tent at this unique wedding celebration in the Surrey Hills. We planned carefully to create a beautiful colour gradient from light yellow through to dark red all the way up the field. Along with fairy lights strung between each flag to guide guests back down the field at night, this was a really impactful entrance, and also created a stunning backdrop for dining.

2. Colourful entrance for a sparkly joint 50th

Photo shows an overhead shot over a party tent in a garden with a colourful entrance leading up to it. — At this super sparkly joint 50th we really wanted to show off our clients gorgeous garden, by positioning the tent further back we allowed space for a long walkway with material draped archways and lanterns, leading up to the bar and splendidly sparkly party tent nestled in the trees.

3. A classy entrance for a James Bond themed party

Photo shows a red carpet entrance with matching ropes and posts, flanked by golden trees with a James Bond backdrop in the background. — Sometimes there’s nothing better than a classic red carpet! For this black tie Bond themed party we knew we needed a classic, stylish entrance way. The red carpet with the personalised backdrop at the end made the perfect photo moment as guests were arriving, and the golden trees lining the carpet really completed it!

4. Immersive entrance for a cruise ship themed 60th

Photo shows the outside of a barn, decorated y a huge cloth that makes the barn look like a cruise ship, there are boxes, luggage and a gangway adding to the effect. — We were really spoilt with space for this entrance, however creating an impactful entrance outside a working farm barn was a challenge! We ended up wrapping the whole building in a huge ship shaped cloth complete with gangway, dockside boxes stacked up and even acrobats dressed up as crew members welcoming the guests aboard this immersive cruise of a party!

5. Woodland entrance for home festival themed wedding

With 100’s of meters of pretty pastel bunting and ribbon bunting strung between these majestic trees, our guests were guided through a winding woodland walk until they found themselves at the ceremony tent for this beautiful home wedding

6. Colourful party entrance for Havana themed 50th

Photo shows colourful draped entrance way adorned with fairy lights and foliage leading into a stretch tent — To really set the carnival atmosphere for this Havana Nights themed party we wanted the party to start the second you walked in, so using these metal hoops, we decorated with draped colourful fabric, foliage and fairy lights to guide guests into the party tent in style!

7. Sparkly beaded curtain entrance for 50th birthday

With the addition of some sparkly beaded curtains and carefully positioned uplighters, these simple arches became a teaser of what guests could expect from the main party tent as they came round the corner!

8. Atmospheric and understated garden party entrance

The photo shows a wild meadow in a garden with a path cut through the grass, decorated on both sides by black lanterns and fairyligths — with a stylish summer garden party, we always want to show our clients gardens off the best we can! For this birthday party we bought guests through a twinkly fairy light and lantern lit pathway to wind through the gardens until they emerged into the party area!

9. 1920’s art deco party entrance

Photo shows a black wrought iron style entrance way, leading into a 1920's themed party at night. — Setting the atmosphere for this incredible 1920’s themed 18th birthday, we used a simple yet impactful entrance archway. Framed by floristry and furniture this stunning art deco arch became a centre piece for the whole party, and was definitely the backdrop for a few Instagram shots!

10. Unique garden tree draping for woodland cabaret

For this party our client wanted a magical woodland cabaret party, we created a stunning entrance way from loosely draped fabric and lights in the trees to guide our guests to the bar and main cabaret tent.
