This family had enjoyed our party planning a couple of years earlier for their daughter’s 18. As they were moving to a new house felt that this was an ideal opportunity to throw another party, and with it coinciding with a 65th birthday, the party was rubber stamped.
We were given carte blanch to style our client’s new home for the party as the following week builders were going in to gut and re-decorate. This meant that we could evoke the 1940’s era as guests walked through the house and out into the party marquee.
We furnished the hallway and sitting room with period furniture and re-papered the walls with genuine 1940’s wallpaper giving and contemporary twist to 19040s décor along with the quintessentially iconic flying ducks.
Everyone was amazed at the level of detail and excitement built for the night ahead.
1940’s styled usherettes offered guests themed canapés – all went down a storm and astonishingly the toasted soldiers with dripping dip were the hit of the night. The wonderful 1940’s singing trio entertained all before a DJ took over..
