This client came to us after seeing the Rage package on our website and realising that this set up was perfect for her son’s upcoming 18th birthday. The traditional rage package wasn’t exactly right for this party as we wanted to keep the front of the structure open. Allowing as much fresh air as we could get into the clearspan on this warm summer night, and create the perfect classy & cool 18th for her eldest son.
The Styling
Although we made some changes to the Rage package, it remained the basis of our styling design, with the classic club atmosphere we love to create. The client chose the teal wall draping, the pop of colour we then used to influence other styling choices such as cushions, cube seats and bar front. The rest of the tent was draped black with classy starcloth ceiling and high gloss black dance floor. Touches such as the circular daybed, poseur tables and giant mirror remained true to the rage styling. But adding in a more modern style central lighting feature and light up numbers bought the party onto a new level.
The Experience
Thanks to the client’s “white party” dress code, this party became an instantly cool space to be, amazing given how hot the day was! The heat didn’t stop the atmosphere though, with the dance floor packed until long after the DJ finished. Guests could chill at the bar with a refreshing cocktail list featuring favourites such as mojitos and a porn star martinis, and refresh their energy with a slice of the pizza that made its way around the tent, tray served by our catering team. The late night brownies were especially popular with the hungry teens towards the end of the evening, all these elements came together perfectly to create this super cool 18th celebration.
