Our client approached us with a clear vision: to create the ultimate luxury 18th birthday party for their daughter; a budding influencer with a large TikTok and Instagram following. They wanted a club-style party atmosphere, with dramatic draping, a chic colour palette of blush pinks and neutrals, and impactful design features that would wow guests both in person and online. They loved elements from some of our past luxury parties (Like this luxury 50th birthday party in Essex) and were keen on creative touches like statement trees within the marquee. With this as our starting point, we set out to design a one-of-a-kind event that blended sophistication, creativity, and unforgettable party energy.
The Styling
From the outset, it was clear this event needed to be Instagrammable at every angle. Every detail was carefully designed to ensure the space looked the picture-perfect pink 18th all night. Showstopping pink blossom trees transformed the clearspan marquee interior, framing entrances and the dance floor.
The A giant mirrored island bar was an essential, and with the huge pink tree in the centre of the bar, it was a focal point all night!
Huge light-up letters and a balloon-framed mirror were perfect for all important selfies, and the tent was completed with elegant silvery taupe draping and matching banquette seating, adding depth and luxury to the tent’s black-lined backdrop.
The end result was a stylish, contemporary party space that felt like stepping into a top London nightclub—without leaving home.
The Experience
From the second guests stepped out of their cars, they were immersed in the atmosphere of a luxury private club experience. As guests arrived they were ticked off the guest list by our friendly professional security guards, ensuring no unwelcome visitors snuck in.
The lantern and festoon flanked walkway into the tent helped set the tone immediately, but the real wow moment came as they stepped into the tent to see a giant mirrored bar, atmospheric lighting and pink trees. They were greeted with pink prosecco and from there the party really got going, our barmen proving popular amongst the instagram crowd for their cocktail making wizardry and tricks.
With a rotating roster of DJ’s throughout the night, tray served pizza to keep energy levels up and a perfect cake moment. We created the atmosphere of a top London club, but all in the back garden of our clients Essex home.
The Challenge
We were fortunate with this garden that we had a huge open space to play with, allowing plenty of area for the 18 x 12 m structure we needed for these 100 guests. The garden did have a bit of a rake to it, which required a built up hard floor throughout the structure to give us a solid foundation. However a few weeks out from the party the final guest numbers came in, up to 130! This required a little more space, fortunately the size of the garden allowed us to to add a 2m extension onto the tent, giving guests a little more space to breath.
