Our client came to us wanting a party for their 40th, a year ahead of the event date. With this falling in the middle of a global pandemic, the pressure was on to deliver. The restrictions were changing almost daily in the lead up to the party. So we were delighted that we were able to go ahead. Some additional measures had to be brought in to ensure compliance with the covid restrictions of the time. However you could tell from the smiles on guests faces as they arrived that they were excited to be able to party again. A colourful carnival party theme answered the brief, with the client wanting the vibrancy of the concept to really push through in the styling.
We chose a stretch tent to mirror the contemporary styling of the clients home and garden. Then to accentuate the carnival theme we draped the structure in bold colours. With LED palm trees, colourful lanterns, giant orb balloons and vintage style furniture completing the styling.
Carnival themed hostesses aside the giant light up letters displaying the party hashtag greeted the guests, with a world class DJ spinning a chilled house vibe. Our flare bartenders made sumptuous cocktails to order whilst plentiful canapés, delicious bowl foods and sweet treats were circulated amongst guests.
England’s unexpected successes in the European Cup meant that a large screen was sourced in the immediate lead up to the party to ensure that none of the action was missed. A thankful win gave a real lift to the party.
With the sun setting and the colourful carnival party lighting taking over the environment really came to life as guests danced until the early hours.
