The Bride’s parents came to us to plan and manage all aspects of their daughter’s wedding to be held in the grounds of their fabulous home in Surrey.
The brief was to design and style a formal wedding breakfast for an intimate bridal party of 30 in their drawing room followed by a wedding party for 100 guests in a stylish marquee in the grounds.
A curved ball was thrown into the mix when King Charles’s coronation was announced for the same day but this did not deter anyone. However the day you may remember was rather wet….but with backup plans in place it was a fabulous day.
Church ceremony guests returned to the house for the wedding breakfast and were treated to canapes followed by a fine dining 3 course bespoke lunch. Our chefs concocted a truly personal and traditional menus of Pea and Watercress velouté, Roast rump of marinated lamb followed by a trio of desserts. Those with children welcomed the Nannying cover we had organised so that the little ones were entertained with games and puzzles if the ‘boring’ lunch proved too tedious.
For the evening we created a large party marquee on their lawn. Using clear walls and roof brought the amazing vista of their grounds into the structure and we softened the interior with bespoke draping in sage and dusty pink. Pink blossom trees created a vibrant accent with soho chic furniture adding to the comfortable vibe.
As the evening guests arrived they were treated to rat pack style acoustic music whilst canapés circulated before the hugely entertaining speeches. From here on the cocktail bar was a firm favourite amongst the crowd and the wedding party started to move up the gears with the fabulous Adam Chandler band. Tantaslising bowl food kept everyone sated and energised for a night of partying. A short interlude for a firework display punctuated the evening’s glorious entertainment as the relentless rain finally abated.
