We always love a company with a creative streak, and this young gaming company had that in spades. The best bit, they were happy to give us free reign to create them an incredible corporate summer party, one that none of the guests would forget in a hurry! There were a few must haves; an excellent DJ, a live band, lots of entertainment and plenty of Halal catering, but we were free to let our imaginations run wild for the rest!
The Challenge
There were a few logistics to iron out, but nothing we couldn’t handle. We organised coaches and minibuses to bring guests in from the offices and local train stations, so everyone arrived relaxed and ready to dive straight into the fun. The party day was also extremely hot, but we had plenty of shade from the large airy tipi structures and the ice cream van helped everyone cool off in the afternoon!
The Styling
We knew we wanted to go all out with the festival styling for this party, exploding with colour and details. The site came alive with multicoloured festival flags and bunting, we designed personalised signposts that not only directed guests to essentials such as bar and toilets, but indicated how far it was to their offices across the world, a fun touch that got lots of attention!
Every single element of the design was considered to compliment their company colours and add to the laid-back, festival feel that we wanted to create. Everything from to the colour of the throws and cushions on the sofas were chosen with care. As night fell the sit came alive under the glow of festoons, lanterns and fairy lights. The giant firepit in the centre of the site surrounded by haybales and blankets became the perfect place to wind down as the sun set.
The Experience
Guests arrived through a field lined with towering, colourful festival flags swaying in the breeze, leading them towards three giant tipis standing proudly in the middle of the site.
The bar tent quickly became the heart of the action — partly because it caught the best of the breeze, but mostly because of the incredible bartenders, mixing up icy cocktails with plenty of flair. Food was flowing from start to finish with delicious canapés, bowl food, desserts, and late-night bites keeping everyone well-fed and full of energy.
We made sure there was never a dull moment. Throughout the day, guests tried their hand at axe throwing and archery, tackled giant inflatables, played football and badminton, and danced along to a brilliant live band.
As the sun went down, guests gathered around the firepit to toast marshmallows and chat under the stars, while others headed straight for the dance tent to throw shapes well into the night. This was a completely unique corporate day, one that felt a world away from the Fetter Lane offices this team usually spend their days in!
