In the realm of remarkable event themes, the challenge of orchestrating a Musicals-themed party truly ignited our creative spirit. Our client’s friend generously granted us exclusive use of their restaurant on the North Bank of the River Thames. This allowed us to transform it into a night inspired by the finest West End and Broadway Musicals.
A curated selection of the client’s favourite musicals served as the foundation for styling touches. This was complemented by more generic theatre elements like theatre seats to create a cohesive theme. Overcoming technical challenges, our team installed a stage and dance floor for a 7-piece party band comprising West End musicians. Draping was strategically implemented to enhance both the acoustics and styling of the venue.
Armed with the client’s vision, we adorned the space with luxurious red crushed velvet draping, featuring gold-fringed edging, while a tightly pleated silver glitz fabric added a captivating sparkle. Custom-made cube seats, mirroring the glitz fabric, illuminated the space under lights as the sun set. Each seating area was uniquely themed after a different musical, with custom inserts for coffee and poseur tables. These were complemented by trinket items to amplify the theme.
In the bar area, our designers collaborated with our client’s name to craft a custom graphic inspired by “Dear Evan Hansen” for guests to capture memorable photos. Meanwhile, outside, an area overlooking The Shard was bathed in green light, transforming it into the Emerald City for an enchanting evening.
Guests were welcomed by fire artists, who later reappeared with usherette trays circulating individual tubs of ice cream. As the evening unfolded, three of our incredible Drag Queens took to the dance floor for a routine inspired by Priscilla. The routine concluded with a dance floor full of guests, as they danced the night away.
