Quite often the planning process starts early and this party’s production started in the Spring of 2018. A previous client got back in touch wanting to hold an indulgent 60th birthday celebration the following summer. The first thing to do was to find the venue. Many kerb appeal venues were considered and we got down to a final three which spanned the south of England. A day of venue viewing and plenty of driving was undertaken with our client to gauge the merits of all three impressive venues with the wonderful Belcombe in Wiltshire bubbling to the top of our wish list. Hiring this as the venue gave our clients a wonderful private exclusive use estate to entertain all their guests in.
Over the party weekend they had 15 house guests and a further 140 for the party held in a marquee in the grounds. Guests arrived on a balmy mid summer evening and had drinks on the manicured lawn whilst taking in the vista of the house, gardens and inviting party marquee. Roaming musicians mixed and mingled with the guests which set the scene for an evening of entertainment before everyone wandered up to the dining tent for an exquisite dinner provided by the finest of caterers. Fireworks set to the sound track of the birthday boys life provided the bridge between the formal dining part of the evening and the high octane themed nightclub conclusion.
Unbeknown to all the guests the end wall of the dining marquee was elegantly pulled aside to reveal a Star Wars themed swanky nightclub. Our client is a known Star Wars fan so what better way to personalise the party. Glamorous storm troopers welcomed all before manning the Darth Vada ice luge. The space bar had smokin’ cocktails with light sabre straws and buckets of billowing fog re-creating the famous space bar scene. Our fabulous DJ collective musicians blew the guests away and gave them dance floor fillers into the small hours. This 60th birthday celebration truly demonstrated our party planning expertise.
It was a fabulous event where the stars aligned giving a perfectly executed luxury party celebration that all guests will remember as a highlight of summer 2019.
