We’re a small team that’s been delivering big ideas for over 25 years. Christian and Julia, the founders of Mirage, learnt their trade in the cut and thrust of corporate events. They’ve trained up a small and enviable team who’ve all become professional, experienced event planners.
Between them, this enviable team of professional, experienced event planners can deliver any type of event, from a 50th celebration for friends and family, to one of the world’s largest motorsports award shows (25 years running!).
We pride ourselves on our ability to make any fantasy possible. We nurture relationships with our tried and trusted network of performers and suppliers, using our creativity to get the very best out of all the people we work with. So whether it be a trapeze artist for your circus-inspired party, a scenic projectionist for your film night or a dramatic glass dance floor over your swimming pool, we know just the person for the job.

Christian has over 25 years’ experience in luxury party planning and event management. With a background in the corporate event world, he brings the same level of innovation and exceptional production values to high-end private parties.
He’s in his element working with a client to conjure up an amazing themed event that maximises the budget, planning every aspect and anticipating any challenges in advance, to ensure that the end result is a perfect replica of the vision.
Christian’s calm, measured personality, his wealth of experience and meticulous attention to detail mean that events run like clockwork, are project managed to the last detail and deliver on impact and ‘wow’ factor.
Julia comes from the world of advertising, working with Christian on several large corporate events before joining him to set up Mirage.
Her creativity is balanced by account management skills which bring the rigour of formalised planning, client liaison and financial management to the process. It means that every event, from the most intimate dinner party to the largest corporate spectacular, is treated with the same attention to detail, with budgets and timelines remaining front of mind throughout.
Imagination and diligent project management are the two staples of a successful event company – Julia has these in abundance.
Alex is a Senior Event Manager. He’s worked with the company since July 2009, the first three and a half years in a freelance capacity before becoming full-time in January 2013.
His passion in turning something on paper into a completely immersive event space is legendary. For him, it’s all about making the client’s vision a reality. Like Christian and Julia, he has strong technical skills, ensuring that all the lighting, sound, rigging, furniture and draping work in harmony.
He also has a talent for spotting technical innovations which might open up opportunities in the world of party planning. As for last-minute troubleshooting, there’s no one better.
Fastidious Attention to
One of the key qualities we look for in team members and our freelance network is a slightly obsessive attention to detail. Successful event organizers need diligent and meticulous management alongside imagination and creativity in order to deliver memorable events that live up to the vision (leading-edge production techniques and hi-tech equipment also help!).

We set up this business because we saw a need for a creative party and event planning service that is as rigorous in delivery as it is imaginative in concept.
